Facts and folklore about the month of March which starts this week, the Full Snow Moon rises this week and moon facts and folklore, it's National Chocolate Souffle Day and National Public Sleeping Day this week, the Kingsbury VFD and KVFD Auxiliary have their regular meetings this Thursday, free bottled water supplied by FEMA and Guadalupe County is available at the Kingsbury Country Store, the Kingsbury Market Days set up every Sunday in downtown, and a wonderful picture of the Charter members of the Kingsbury Extension Homemakers Club in the early 1950s.

Today is Valentine's Day, the Polar Vortex is here and Kingsbury is in a deep freeze with snow predicted, it's National Pancake Day and National Love Your Pet Day this week, Presidents Day is Monday, this coming Tuesday is Fat Tuesday (Laissez les bons temps rouler!), the Kingsbury city commission has their next regular meeting this Monday (weather permitting), and some more fabulous Valentine's post cards that were mailed to and from Kingsbury between 1907 and 1909.

The Mesquite Trail Drivers will be coming to town on their way to the rodeo, it's National Kite Flying Day and National Plum Pudding Day this week, Market Days in downtown Kingsbury resume today, this week in American history Abraham Lincoln is born in 1809, and some absolutely beautiful postcards mailed to and from Kingsbury between 1907 and 1909.

Facts and folklore about the month of February which starts this week, check out the Kingsbury calendar for information on upcoming events, it's National Frozen Yogurt Day and National Shower With A Friend Day this week, the 1st Annual Downtown Kingsbury Classics, Truck & Tractor Show is scheduled for April 24th, the next meeting of the Kingsbury VFD is this Thursday, downtown Market Days will resume on February 7th, in Spain the Woman in Blue who claimed to have visited West Texas in mystic experiences took vows this week in 1620, Groundhog Day is this Tuesday, and a really great picture of local WWI servicemen in uniform in downtown Kingsbury in 1917.

The Full Wolf Moon rises this Thursday, moon facts and folklore, it's National Bubble Wrap Day and National Peanut Butter Day this week, Texas native Audie Murphy single-handedly repels a German attack and earns the Medal of Honor this week in 1945, the Markey Days in downtown Kingsbury are on hiatus and will return in February, and a wonderful picture of some graduates at the Kingsbury School in 1937.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is this week, it's National Bootlegger's Day and National Granola Bar Day this week, this week in Texas history Waterloo became the capital of Texas in 1839, the Kingsbury Market Day is on hiatus during January, the Kingsbury city commission will have its next regular meeting this Monday, and a fabulous picture of a busy downtown Kingsbury in 1987.

It's National Rubber Ducky Day and National Bagel Day this week, the Miracle on the Hudson occurred this week in 2009, the next Volunteer Work Day at the Pioneer Flight Museum is this Saturday, in Kingsbury news past the April 1, 1876 edition of the San Antonio Express a petrified body was being brought to Kingsbury to be put on the train here and outlawry in increasing in Western Texas, the Market Day in downtown Kingsbury is on hiatus until February, the outdoor burn ban for the county has been lifted, and a beautiful picture of some local girls kneeling on the highway with all of downtown Kingsbury in the background.
