Happy New Year from the Kingsbury Newsletter, New Year traditions and folklore, it's National Spaghetti Day and National Hangover Day this week, the month of January now starts, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Store to benefit the KVFD, the Full Wolf Moon rises this Friday, the Kingsbury VFD has their first meeting of the year this Thursday, and an awesome picture of a fun group in a horse and buggy getting Mr. Jones to "fill 'er up" at the gas station.

The first day of Winter is this week with the Winter Solstice, it's National Eggnog Day and National Crossword Puzzle Day this week, a hard freeze is being forecast for this week, the Yule season starts this week and the tradition of the Yule Log, , there will be a New Year's Eve party in Kingsbury Hall, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Store to benefit the KVFD, the Kingsbury City Commission has a Regular Meeting this Monday, there are 6 days till Christmas, and an awesome picture of the windmill and cistern that once stood on Railway Street.

The Kingsbury VFD and KVFD Auxiliary installed new officers at the annual Christmas party, it's National Cupcake Day and National Monkey Day this week, the Geminid meteor shower peaks this week, there will be a New Year's Eve party in Kingsbury Hall, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Store to benefit the KVFD, the Kingsbury VFD Auxiliary assembled and delivered Christmas baskets to the special citizens in our fire district, there are 13 days till Christmas, and a wonderful picture of four generations of the Jones family.

The month of December starts this week, it's National French Toast Day and National Mason Jar Day this week, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Country Store to benefit the KVFD, in Kingsbury news past the June 17, 1876 edition of the San Antonio Express reported that 1500 tons of iron was to be delivered to Kingsbury for the railroad construction and the Indian Wars continue in Cheyenne, the 2nd Annual Booze and Peruse is scheduled for December 10th, there are 27 days till Christmas, and a delightful picture of a postcard with the Kingsbury School students around 1900.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving, it's National Parfait Day and National Jukebox Day this week, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Country Store to benefit the KVFD, the Texas Rangers were formed this week in Texas history in 1835, the 2nd Annual Booze and Peruse is scheduled for December 10th, the Kingsbury City Commission has a Regular Meeting this Monday, and a great picture of the scene behind the counter of the First National Bank of Kingsbury and a check from the bank.

Daylight Saving Time ended today, the Kingsbury Fall Harvest Festival is coming up November 12th, the Full Beaver Moon rises this week, it's National Pizza With The Works Except Anchovies Day and National Saxophone Day this week, there will be a Dessert Competition at the Fall Harvest Festival, the Full Beaver Moon is also Blood Moon due to a lunar eclipse, this Friday is Veteran's Day, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Country Store to benefit the KVFD, the Fall Wings & Wheels Fly-In at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome is scheduled for November 12th, Tuesday is Election Day, the 2nd Annual Booze and Peruse is scheduled for December 10th, and a wonderful picture of the inside of the First National Bank of Kingsbury around 1913.

Tomorrow is Halloween, Kingsbury is having a Trunk or Treat in Downtown October 31st, the month of November starts this week, November folklore and night sky events, the Kingsbury Fall Harvest Festival is coming up November 12th, the Kingsbury Baptist Church is having a Harvest Festival on October 31st, it's National Candy Corn Day and National Love Your Red Hair Day this week, there will be a Dessert Competition at the Fall Harvest Festival, the next volunteer work day at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome is this Saturday, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Country Store to benefit the KVFD, the Fall Wings & Wheels Fly-In at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome is scheduled for November 12th, important dates for the upcoming elections in November, the next meetings for the Kingsbury VFD and Auxiliary are this Thursday, the 2nd Annual Booze and Peruse is scheduled for December 10th, and a great picture of the Kingsbury Post Office workers around 1950.

Kingsbury is having a Trunk or Treat in Downtown October 31st, the Kingsbury Fall Harvest Festival is coming up November 12th, the Kingsbury Baptist Church is having a Harvest Festival on October 31st, it's National Boston Cream Pie Day and National Mule Day this week, Kingsbury items are for sale in the Kingsbury Country Store to benefit the KVFD, an outdoor burn ban is back on in Guadalupe County, the Fall Wings & Wheels Fly-In at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome is scheduled for November 12th, in Kingsbury news past the June 15, 1876 edition of the San Antonio Express reported on persons staying at local hotels including "W H Chapman and lady" from Kingsbury staying at the Central and a report that watermelons are coming in by the wagon load, important dates for the upcoming elections in November, the 2nd Annual Booze and Peruse is scheduled for December 10th, and an awesome picture of the students outside the first Kingsbury schoolhouse around 1900.
